*For some large and medium-sized vehicles other than large tour buses (vehicles with a width of 2.3m or more and a length of 9m or more), please continue to use the wide-area detour route.

The route from Takayama city center to Hirayu Onsen isYou can come as usual by using the detour (Takayama City Road).Traffic congestion may occur near the detour, but it is still passable. This detour is the fastest route for regular cars and route buses.

On February 25, 2026, a landslide occurred on National Route 158 in the Shioya district of Nyukawa-cho, Takayama City, resulting in traffic restrictions in some sections.
From Takayama city center towards the Okuhida Onsenkyo area,You can come as usual by taking the detour (Takayama City Road).In addition to regular cars and route buses, large tour buses will also be able to use the detour route from 7:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
All hot spring resorts in the Okuhida Onsenkyo area (Hirayu, Fukuchi, Shin-Hirayu, Tochio, and Shin-Hotaka), the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway, and the Abotoge Road (towards Matsumoto) are available for use as usual.
