Following its popularity last year, the Norikura Ptarmigan Route Sightseeing Bus will be operating again this year. Starting from Hirayu Onsen, this special bus tour takes you across the Gifu-Nagano prefectural border to the southern region of Chubu Sangaku National Park, visiting Norikura Tatamidaira (2,702 meters above sea level), Norikura Plateau, and Kamikochi, all in one day.
This sightseeing route, which passes through both the Norikura Skyline on the Gifu Prefecture side and the Norikura Echo Line on the Nagano Prefecture side, is rare in Japan and allows you to enjoy the different faces of Mount Norikura in one day. You can also easily access areas where private cars are restricted, and you will be guided by a bus guide with extensive knowledge.
