Experience
Norikura Skyline and Norikura Echo Line
This scenic mountain route stretches from Okuhida Norikura Plateau to Tatamidaira at an altitude of 2,702m. Immediately after its opening in spring, a "snow corridor" exceeding 10m in height appears, and in summer, it is known as the "Ptarmigan Route," where you might encounter the specially protected natural monument, the rock ptarmigan. Due to restrictions on private cars, access is by bus or taxi, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Northern Alps from the vehicle window. Along the way, which climbs an altitude difference of more than 1,500m, visitors will be captivated by the treasure trove of alpine plants above the treeline and the ever-changing mountain scenery.
