Nakao Kamakura Festival Oku-Hida Winter Story
Within the grounds of Nakao Hakusan Shrine, enveloped in a sacred atmosphere and serene silence, various sizes of snow huts appear. In this region, there is a long-standing tradition of families building snow huts to enjoy winter, and the huts illuminated by soft lights create a unique atmosphere of a snowy country. The sight of the snow huts standing amidst the gently falling snow is truly picturesque. It's also perfect for social media photos, and you're sure to capture a memorable shot.
Every year, along with the snow huts, local events such as lion dances are also held. For detailed information about this year's events, please check the Winter Story website.
