Fukuchi Aodaru Light-up Oku-Hida Winter Story
"Aodaru" are thick blue ice pillars that can only be seen deep in the mountains in winter, and are a natural phenomenon formed when water dripping from rocks freezes. At Fukuji Onsen, these beautiful Aodaru have been recreated in the hot spring town, and are beloved as a winter feature. During the special period, the "Ice Walking Path Light-up" event is held, and you can even stroll behind the Aodaru, and the illuminated Aodaru up close is truly beautiful, like a giant jewel. In addition, on certain days during the special period, the local performing art of lion dance is also performed, making it a luxurious event where you can enjoy the mysteries of nature and local culture at the same time.
