Hirayu Waterfall
Hirayu Otaki Falls, with a drop of 64 meters and a width of 6 meters, is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Hida and has also been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls. It shows off beautiful expressions in every season, and every February the Hirayu Otaki Ice Festival is held, where the frozen waterfall is lit up.

| Closed days | In summer, you can park at the Takimi Observation Plaza (at the base of the waterfall), and in winter, you can park at Ankiya (about a 30-minute walk). Large buses can only enter the observation plaza when boarding or disembarking. |
