Hirayu Waterfall
Hirayu Otaki Falls, with a drop of 64 meters and a width of 6 meters, is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Hida and has also been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls. It shows off beautiful expressions in every season, and every February the Hirayu Otaki Ice Festival is held, where the frozen waterfall is lit up.

| Precautions | During the summer, you can park at the waterfall viewing plaza (at the foot of the waterfall), and during the winter, you can park at the Ankiya restaurant (about a 30-minute walk from Hirayu Great Waterfall). Large buses are only allowed to enter the viewing plaza for boarding and alighting. |
