Shinhotaka Ropeway
Take Japan's first double-decker gondola to a world above the clouds at an altitude of 2,156 meters. The 3,200-meter-long Shinhotaka Ropeway is a spectacular spot where you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Northern Alps, including Nishihotakadake, Yari-ga-take, and Kasagatake. At the summit station, in the forest of the summit, you can walk along a trail that weaves through the virgin forest, and from May to October, you can see delicate wildflowers and alpine flowers. During the autumn foliage season from early to late October, the combination of the fresh snow on the Northern Alps and the autumn leaves against the clear blue autumn sky is a spectacular sight. In winter, a huge snow corridor appears, captivating visitors with its changing seasonal scenery.
