When traveling to Okuhida-Onsengo along the motorway, you can enjoy the beauty of the season, be it fresh spring greenery, the brilliant colors of autumn, or a winter snowscape.
However, because the roadways around Oku-Hida include many mountain roads, there are seasonal regulations on access by private car.
When traveling by car, please check traffic conditions beforehand.

Access by car:
From Tokyo
First, drive along the Chuo Expressway to the Okaya Junction and then get onto the Nagano Expressway.
Get off the Nagano Expressway at the Matsumoto Interchange.
From there, going East along Route 158 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
From Nagoya
Route A : Using Meishin Expressway - Route 41
Get off at Komaki Interchange and go North along Route 41 to Takayama via Gero.
From there, going East along Route 158 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
Route B : Using the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway
Get on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway at Ichinomiya Interchange and head toward Hida-Kiyomi Interchange.
At the Hida-Kiyomi Interchange, get onto the Chubu-Jukan Expressway and then get off at Takayama Interchange.
From there, going East along Route 158 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
Route C : Using the Chuo Expressway
From the Komaki Junction, drive along the Chuo Expressway toward Nagano and get off at Nakatsugawa Interchange.
From there, take Route 257 to Gero.
From Gero, take Route 41 to Takayama.
From there, going East along Route 158 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
From Toyama
From the Toyama Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway, take Route 41 to Kamioka-cho.
From there, going East along Route 471 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
From Kanazawa
Route A : Going via the Toyama district
From the Toyama Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway, take Route 41 to Kamioka-cho.
From there, going East along Route 471 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
Route B : Going via the Hida-Takayama and Shirakawago district
From the Oyabe-Tonami Junction on the Hokuriku Expressway , take the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway to the Hida-Kiyomi Interchange via the Shirakawago Interchange.
At the Hida-Kiyomi Interchange, get onto the Chubu-Jukan Expressway and then get off at Takayama Interchange.
From there, going East along Route 158 will take you to Okuhida-Onsengo.
